Fresh out of the cocoon

This butterfly has just come out of its cocoon. Its wings were all crumpled when it came out. Once the blood (Haemolymph) started circulating through the vains, the wings unfolded and became shapely. I took this snap when the butterfly was making his last efforts to fly. The proboscis had not emerged from its mouth. After a few minutes he took to his wings and disappered, leaving behind the shell of the pupa which once was his protective sheath.
